Volleyball Earns USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award
The United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association named the ANC varsity volleyball team one of 413 high school programs to earn the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 school year.
The award honors collegiate and high school varsity volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
This marks the sixth consecutive year the Lions have received recognition for their work in the classroom.
Coach Holly Adams commented, “I am so proud of the team for staying on top of their school work during a challenging year!”
In total, 1,275 high school and collegiate teams earned academic honors in 2020-21. Click here for a full list of the award winners.
