Spring Musical Auditions
Auditions for the spring musical--Disney’s Beauty and the Beast--will be held immediately following Christmas break.
We are excited to announce our spring musical, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast--a romantic and beloved take on the classic fairytale of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out, if the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
Audition dates, times, and locations:
- Monday, January 6th - 7:00pm-9:30pm - Benade Hall Auditorium
- Tuesday, January 7th - 7:00pm-9:30pm - Mitchell Performing Arts Center
- Wednesday, January 8th - 7:00pm-9:30pm - Benade Hall Auditorium
All students, regardless of experience, are invited to audition. There are roles ranging from leads, such as Belle and the Beast, supporting roles such as the castle characters and Gaston, and ensembles such as the townspeople.
Specific audition information has been sent to all students by email; if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ms. Sarah Gladish (Director/Choreographer), Mr. Chris Waelchli (Director/Music Director) or Prof Sarah Waelchli (Producer).
We are soliciting advertisements for the play program--please consider supporting the production by placing either a business ad or personal message to the cast or crew. Prices are as follows: business advertisements--full page $125, half page $100, business card $70; personal messages--full page $95, half page $70, quarter page $40. Please use this form to reserve your spot in the program; the deadline for submission is April 3.
Performances will be held April 24 at 8pm, April 25 at 7pm, April 26 at 2pm, May 1 at 8pm and May 2 at 2pm & 7pm. Tickets will go on sale March 1st.
