ANC is proud to present Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” as the spring musical.
Ariel, King Triton's youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea.
Forty-five students have been cast in this production, with junior Anya D taking the lead role of Ariel. Ariel’s friends will be played by senior Chris F (Sebastian), senior Emma B (Flounder) and junior Tara P (Scuttle). King Triton will be played by junior Leopold K and junior Maggie S will be Ursula. Junior Ian K will take on the role of Prince Eric and freshman Zachary R will be his sidekick Grimsby. Chef Louis will be performed by junior Ainsley O, who will also play Flotsam. Junior Meg M will be Jetsam and the Mersisters will be played by Paige S, Kat S, Deidré B, Aly K, Tyler L and Chloe S. Deidré will also be the Dance Captain for “Under the Sea” and “Kiss the Girl.”.

ANC will once again be partnering with Flying by Foy to create flying effects for the show and the Costuming class has been working on designs for the many creatures featured in the show. The senior StageCraft elective starts after midterm and will be implementing designs created by the junior StageCraft class that was held fall term.
COVID mitigation guidelines will be implemented as appropriate for the current situation at the time of the performances.
