ANC Presents Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" Musical!

ANC will be presenting the beloved classic “Beauty and the Beast” this December, before amateur rights are revoked for an upcoming national tour!

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Thirty-six students have been cast in this production, with juniors Isabel Waelchli and Tait Asplundh as the titular characters. Seniors Zachary Ruth and Padraic Frazier are villains Gaston and Lefou respectively, and Belle’s father is played by Paxton Cooper (senior). Alex Kline will be Lumiere, Cogsworth will be Oliver Orthwein, Mrs. Potts will be Nicole Synnestvedt and Babette will be Chloe Robertson, all juniors. The castle characters are rounded out by sophomore Sarah Roscoe as Madame de la Grande Bouche and freshman Abby Alden as Chip.

High school theater, including at ANC, is primarily funded by ticket and ad sales. ANC Performing Arts deeply appreciates our advertisers and patrons who make this program possible! Advertisements for the playbill can be purchased here. Performances for “Beauty and the Beast” are December 6-14, and tickets are now on sale.
