ANC is thrilled to cast our spring musical, “Curtains!”

CURTAINS is a delightful and suspenseful musical comedy, featuring a Golden Age-style score by the legendary songwriting duo John Kander & Fred Ebb, the creative minds behind Cabaret and Chicago. With a sharp, witty book by Rupert Holmes, CURTAINS combines the best elements of classic Broadway with a clever whodunit twist that will keep audiences laughing and guessing until the very end.

Set in the brassy, bright, and promising year of 1959, Boston’s Colonial Theatre is playing host to the opening night performance of a new musical: ROBBIN’ HOOD. When the leading lady mysteriously dies on stage… the entire cast and crew are suspects. Enter a local detective, who just happens to be a musical theatre fan!

With standout roles for triple-threat performers and a featured ensemble full of rich, comedic characters, Curtains is a musical that celebrates the joy of theatre while offering a thrilling experience for performers and audiences alike.

Senior Porter Brown will lead the cast of CURTAINS as Lieutenant Frank Cioffi, called upon to investigate the murder of the leading lady Jessica Cranshaw (junior Sarah Roscoe). His love interest is played by senior Chloe Robertson (Niki Harris). Seniors Nicole Synnestvedt and Tait Asplundh are the songwriting duo of Georgia and Aaron, while seniors Isabel Waelchli and Isaac Rose play the married producers Carmen and Sidney Bernstein. Brogan Fraser (senior) will portray the show’s choreographer Bobby Pepper; Oliver Orthwein (senior) plays financier Oscar Shapiro and Sofia Waelchli (sophomore) plays chorus member Bambi Brenét. Junior Clio Frazier is ROBBIN’ HOOD’s stage manager (Jenny Harmon) and Durban Cooper (freshman) plays Daryl Grady of the Boston Globe.

The cast is rounded out with ROBBIN’ HOOD’s ensemble and stage crew; see the full cast list here
