Investing in Our Campus!

The Academy of the New Church continues to invest in improvements that enhance the safety, appearance, and functionality of our campus. Over the past few months, several important projects have been completed across key areas of the ANC campus, helping preserve our historic facilities while improving the experience of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

One of the most visible projects was the renovation of the Richard R. Gladish Tennis Courts. Cracks and stains had begun to come through the playing surface and required significant repair. The courts have been restored to provide a safer and more attractive playing environment for our student-athletes. In addition, new lines were added to accommodate a number of pickleball courts, expanding the ways this recreational space can be enjoyed by the ANC community.

The Mitchell Performing Arts Center (MPAC) also received several important upgrades. A new roof was installed, helping protect this valuable campus facility for years to come. The lobby floor was repaired and refinished, and new carpeting was installed in the theater. Looking ahead, another important MPAC project is planned: the replacement of the theater curtains.

Other campus improvements focused on preserving and maintaining several of our historic buildings. At the Fine Arts Center, exterior lintels were replaced and repointing work was completed. Benade Hall received waterproofing improvements, as well as new front steps. Repairs were also made to the front steps at Stuart Hall.

In addition to these facility improvements, a new security check-in kiosk was installed in Benade Hall, providing an additional resource to help support campus safety and visitor management.

Together, these projects represent an ongoing commitment to caring for ANC's campus and ensuring that our facilities continue to serve students and the broader school community well. We are grateful to everyone whose support makes these important improvements possible.
