ANC Students Abroad!

A group of 19 people from ANC went on a great trip to Costa Rica from June 9th to June 17th, 2026. The group included three teachers (Dave Keith, Cheryl Cooper, Martha Odhner), one athletic trainer (Keri Heickert), six female students (Lily Odhner, Tova Larsen, Sophia Mergen, Verity Bongers, Sadie Hasen, Windsor Smith), six male students (Eldon Odhner, Durban Cooper, Zion Nobre, Mattias King, Logan Brown, Ladi Ashiru-Balogun), one parent (Reuben Mergen), and two friends (Sofi and Rachel).

The trip was a great success. We did lots of great activities, including kayaking in a lake near a volcano, visiting hot springs, walking over suspension bridges in a rainforest, horseback riding in the mountains, walking through a cloud forest, zip-lining through a forest, visiting the beach, planting some olive trees, seeing wildlife in Manuel Antonio National Park, and going on a crocodile safari. We saw amazing wildlife all over the place, including monkeys, sloths, butterflies, frogs, snakes, crocodiles, spiders, birds, toucans, geckos, insects, a kinkajou, and more. The group was led by a great guide named Jonathan, and the experience enriched everyone.
