Softball
The Softball program navigated a developmental season with a young and inexperienced roster, prioritizing player growth, resilience, and teamwork. The team was anchored by captains Maddie Conlon and Naomi Synnestvedt, who utilized their varsity experience to guide the squad and build overall confidence. Conlon provided a steady, calming presence as the team's primary pitcher, led the roster in hits, and was recognized with First Team All-League honors. Joey Baker successfully transitioned to the catcher position with no prior experience, effectively minimizing unearned runs and earning an Honorable Mention All-League selection. Both Baker and Synnestvedt delivered numerous quality at-bats throughout the season and are set to return next year. Conlon, along with fellow seniors Ava Teich, Ainsley Pitcairn, and Vanessa Coleman, graduate from the program this spring, leaving behind a strong legacy of leadership.
Baseball
The 2026 Baseball team concluded a highly competitive season focused on building a culture of commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship. While the team finished with four victories, five of their losses were decided by a narrow margin of three runs or less. Leadership was provided by senior captains Ronan Henderson, Chris Alston, and Cole Gainsley, alongside junior captain Joey Kimenour. Several players received individual accolades for their impact: JJ Garvin was awarded the Coaches Award for his hard work and dedication; Joey Greenberg was named Most Improved Player for his versatility and positive attitude; and Cole Gainsley secured the team MVP award alongside First Team All-League honors due to his exceptional contributions across pitching, offense, and leadership. The program graduates seven seniors this year and will look to the underclassmen to fill these foundational roles next season.
Girls Lacrosse
The Girls Lacrosse team put forth another highly successful campaign, finishing with a 9-6 record and securing a berth in the postseason as the No. 4 seed, where they ultimately faced top-seeded GFS. Supervised by coaches Abby Forster and Greg Clark, the team demonstrated steady improvement under the leadership of captains Mary Vandegrift, Molly McCabe, Nora Kurtiak, Avia Rogers, and Abby Szafran.
Defensively, goalie Abby Szafran reached a major career milestone by recording her 300th career save, anchoring a resilient defensive unit. Lily Odhner and Sadie Hasen provided critical stability on the crease, with Hasen additionally transitioning to the midfield to score several impressive left-handed goals. In the midfield, Molly McCabe provided relentless end-to-end energy and leadership. A key mid-season tactical adjustment placed Nahla Bernhardt into the draw circle and midfield, allowing Mary Vandegrift to bolster the attacking unit upon her return from injury.
Offensively, Theresa Vandegrift paced the Lions with a team-high 39 goals and 29 assists, earning an Honorable Mention All-League distinction. Molly McCabe (35 goals, 11 assists, and 44 draw controls) and Nahla Bernhardt (35 goals, 26 assists) both eclipsed the 100-career-point milestone this season. Furthermore, Mary Vandegrift and Molly McCabe were both honored with First Team All-League selections. The program bids farewell to three graduating seniors—Molly McCabe, Nora Kurtiak, and Mary Vandegrift—and looks forward to continuing this positive momentum into 2027.
Boys Lacrosse
The 2025 Boys Lacrosse team demonstrated remarkable perseverance through a challenging 5–14 regular season, ultimately rallying to earn a spot in the Friends League Championship game. Captains Shane Bradley, Jason Kitahma, and Nick Guzy provided steady guidance to keep the roster focused and highly competitive throughout the spring.
The offensive effort was spearheaded by Shane Bradley, who capped off an exceptional senior season by recording a career-high 50 assists, surpassing the 200-career-point milestone, and earning All-State honors. Fellow captain Jason Kitahma also achieved a major career milestone by reaching his 100th career point as a vital part of the offensive unit. The program graduates a dedicated class of seniors whose contributions have established a strong baseline for the underclassmen, including Nick Guzy, Shane Bradley, Jason Kitahma, Hayden Beck, Dave Pomeroy, Jack Kelly, and Khalif Frazier.
