Beauty and the Beast Cast List Announced
A record-breaking 69 students have been cast in ANC’s spring musical: Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.”
This romantic and beloved fairytale tells the story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out, if the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
Freshman Meg M. will step into the role of Belle, with senior Daniel R. as the Beast. Leo-Paul W., a senior, will portray antagonist Gaston, with Hayden H playing his side-kick Lefou. The castle characters will be played by Madison Z. (Mrs. Potts), James G. (Lumiere), Teagan D. (Cogsworth), Nicole M. (Babette), Isabelle K. (Madame de la Grand Bouche) and Sophia I. (Chip). Junior Becket S. will be Belle’s father Maurice and senior Levon A., the evil Monsieur D’Arque. Seniors Hope O. and Aurelle O. will return as Dance Captains for the production.
An additional 56 students will be involved in the ensemble, as either a townsperson or castle inhabitant. See the entire cast list here.
