A faculty interview by the Girls School Academian Editor, Julie.
Where did you grow up?
Bryn Athyn. I actually lived in Sarah Waelchli's house.
What job did you want as a kid?
I don't remember. I was a tutor in high school, but I still didn't realize that I would be a teacher then. I wanted to be a doctor in college, but I would've made a terrible doctor.
Where did you go to college?
Bryn Athyn for one year and Iowa State for three years.
Do you have any fun college memories?
So many, but I can't say half of them.
What did you major in during college?
Biology and chemistry.
What is your favorite thing about working at ANC?
There are so many things. If I had to put it into one word, community. The faculty is amazing. I love getting to know my students. I'm socially awkward, but once I get through that I love making connections with them.
Do you have a celebrity crush?
Logan Huntzberger from Gilmore Girls, he's super, super cute. Also that guy from Jenkintown, Bradley Cooper.
Anything else you'd like to add?
I'm really proud of the whole community for getting through this pandemic, it's been months and I'm still so impressed with everyone's flexibility and patience.
