All ANC students who participate in interscholastic athletics have access to our athletic training services.
ANC employs one full-time Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). Student athletic trainers from Neumann University and Jefferson University assist our teams under the direct supervision of our Certified Athletic Trainer, Keri Heickert.
- Where is the athletic training room?
- When is the athletic training room open?
- What events are covered by the athletic trainer?
- When should my child see the school nurse vs. the athletic trainer?
The athletic training room is open Monday through Friday, 2:00pm-5:30pm. If the ATC is not present in the room, the athlete's coach should contact her on her cell phone. The athletic training room will close 15 minutes after the conclusion of the last game/contest/practice.
On Saturdays, the athletic training room will open two hours prior to the first game/contest. The athletic training room will close 15 minutes after the conclusion of the last game/contest.
The coverage priority for home athletic contests is based on the risk of injury for each sport, with collision/contact sports having first priority, followed by non-contact events.
Athletic training coverage for athletics occurs only during in-season dates, and does not include optional or off-season practices. In season coverage includes practice times (3:30-5:30 Monday-Thursday and 2:30-4:30 on Fridays) all home contests, and the occasional away contest.
Athletic training coverage will include a Certified Athletic Trainer and athletic training students when available.
All student athletes are required to have an ANC Yearly Physical for New or Returning Students before attending school or participating in a sport. Physicals must be performed after May 1, 2019. To download the form for new or returning students, click the appropriate link below.
