The Arts at ANC

Artistic expression and exploration are an important part of the balance at ANC. Our students benefit from a rich program in both the visual and performing arts, with opportunities for students to express their talents and learn new mediums.

Our performing arts program is one of the most popular extracurricular activities at ANC, with over 50% of students participating in either the Fall Play or Spring Musical. Our main stage productions encourage performance excellence while remaining inclusive to those who wish to participate for the first time.

Our visual arts program benefits from Bryn Athyn’s rich artistic history. In addition to courses in drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography and graphic design, our students can take advantage of the heritage of the Bryn Athyn Historic District, exploring mediums such as stained glass.

For juniors and seniors, we also offer in-depth portfolio courses in both visual and performing arts. These courses help ANC students develop a body of work, learn about presentation, and receive comprehensive training in all aspects of their medium of choice--whether that is drawing, painting, or musical theater.

In the classroom, studio and theater, ANC encourages students to explore their artistic talents and push themselves to develop new ones.
