Step 4: Admissions Assessment/ New Church Overview (NCO)

The Admissions Assessment/New Church Overview is offered monthly and is required of all applicants and parents*. While your child is completing the academic assessment (writing sample, math and English components), parents/guardians will attend New Church Overview, led by our school chaplain, Rev. Barry Halterman. This is an opportunity to understand the faith that will be an integral part of your child’s life at ANC. When applicants are finished with the assessment, they will join their parents for the final portion of New Church Overview.

*Parents who have previously completed a New Church Overview are not required to attend.

*The fee for the application includes the academic assessment and must be paid before taking the assessment.

Visit our calendar of available dates by clicking the button below. Click on the event you'd like to attend and a registration form will pop up.

Step 5: Shadow Day (optional)

On a Shadow Day, your child will be matched with an ANC student ambassador and attend a half day of classes with them, including lunch. While shadow days are optional, they do provide not only a unique opportunity to experience being an ANC student first hand but for your child to show our teachers how they might fit in. Shadow Days can be scheduled after you have attended an Open House or done a campus tour with the admissions office. To schedule a Shadow Day, contact the admissions office at 267-502-2539 or admissions@ancss.org

Step 6: Financial Aid Application (optional)

Financial aid grants at ANC are strictly need-based. To be considered in the first round of financial aid awards, new families must complete the FACTS grant and aid application and submit the required supporting financial documents by February 10, 2026. The majority of financial aid is distributed in the first round but you may still apply after that. To learn more and apply for financial aid, visit the Tuition and Financial Aid page.

Virtual Application Process (International Students):

The Academy of the New Church offers a small International Program. All international students must have a local guardian. ANC works with several consultants/agencies that can help you through the admissions process and a connection to a local guardian. Please reach out to the Admissions Office for recommendations.

As always, the Admissions Office is here to partner with you throughout your admissions process.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. 267-502-2539
