Performing Arts Camp | June 22 - July 2
ANC Performing Arts Camp offers an exciting theatrical experience for current 6th, 7th & 8th graders culminating in a performance of "Seussical, JR."
Our professional group of teachers will lead your child through the process of blocking, vocal production, learning choreography and character development. The camp is held in the Mitchell Performing Arts Center located on the ANC campus and will run Monday, June 22, to Wednesday, July 1, 2020, with the final performances Thursday, July 2 at 11am & 2pm.
This camp will foster the imagination, creativity and practical performance skills of the campers as well as provide a positive space to make new friends. Campers will be exposed to many aspects of theatre; those who are newer to this art form will be given an introduction and those with experience will be pushed to advance their skills. The camp will feature break-out sessions such as sound, rigging, stage combat, lighting, theatrical/jazz dance technique and theatrical make-up, as well as rehearsals for the performance of “Seussical, JR.”
Camp sessions will run from 9am to 4pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Campers should bring their own brown bag lunch and will have access to a refrigerator and microwave. All campers will be included onstage for the performances of “Seussical, JR.” which will be at 11am & 2pm on Thursday, July 2, at the Mitchell Performing Art Center.
The cost of Performing Arts Camp is $525 which includes a keepsake script, digital download of the dress rehearsal video, and camp t-shirt. Campers will be provided with a costume to wear during the performance but are required to provide their own dance shoes and undergarments as well as rehearsal clothing. A $150 non-refundable deposit is due at registration and final payment is due by May 1, 2020. There is a discount of $75 off the camp total for deposits received before March 1, 2020. Gift certificates in any denomination are available for purchase. For more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 267.502.2678.
