Dear Edwina JR. follows the adventures of plucky advice-giver-extraordinaire, Edwina Spoonapple, as she directs the neighborhood kids in a series of buoyant production numbers for the latest edition of her weekly "Advice-a-Palooza.” Edwina and her friends share wisdom on everything from trying new foods to making new friends, through clever, catchy and poignant songs. Dear Edwina JR. is a heartwarming musical about the joys of growing up, written in a “show-within-a-show” format.

About Performing Arts Camp:

Our professional group of teachers lead campers through the process of blocking, vocal production, learning choreography and character development. The camp will foster the imagination, creativity and practical performance skills of the campers as well as provide a positive space to make new friends. Campers will be exposed to many aspects of theatre; those who are newer to this art form will be given an introduction and those with experience will be pushed to advance their skills. The camp will feature break-out sessions such as sound, rigging, stage combat, lighting, theatrical/jazz dance technique and theatrical make-up, as well as rehearsals for the final performance.

The cost of Performing Arts Camp is $425 which includes a keepsake script, digital download of the dress rehearsal video, and camp t-shirt. Campers will be provided with a costume to wear during the performance but are required to provide their own dance shoes and undergarments as well as rehearsal clothing. A $150 non-refundable deposit is due at registration and final payment is due by May 14, 2021. For more information, please email sarah.waelchli@ancss.org or call 267.502.2678.
