Michael Gurian Speaks at ANC
May 7, 2012
Michael Gurian is a pioneer in the field of gender diversity and has developed leading edge programs and models for helping schools and parents raise and educate boys and girls. He is a New York Times Bestselling author of 25 books, and founder of the Gurian Institute in Colorado.
June 3rd, Michael spoke to teachers of all levels, elementary to college, including interested members of the community. Combining the latest in brain science with a light-hearted and humorous approach, Gurian confirmed what we know - that boys and girls learn differently - but more importantly he illustrated effective ways of translating that knowledge into our educational practice. The talk was followed up by two days of workshops in which Gurian Institute staff worked with ANC faculty.
