The Athletic Training Room

Athletic Training Room (ATR) Hours

The training room is open Monday through Friday, 2:00pm-3:15pm. Student athletes arriving after 3:15pm may not be seen. All coaches will be notified of their student athlete's status via call/text/note from the Certified Athletic Trainer. Monday through Friday the ATR will close 15 minutes after the conclusion of the last game/contest/practice. The ATR will be open Saturdays 2 hours before the first game/contest begins. The room will remain open 15 minutes after the last game/contest concludes.

Athletic Training Room Treatment Priority Schedule

The following section will describe the daily triage formula used to treat athletes, keep the room circulating, and ensure that all athletes receive the medical attention they warrant.
  • Game day athletes: will be treated and made priority. Early departure teams have first priority, followed by home game teams, and visiting teams.
  • Practicing athletes: athletes requiring less than 7 minutes of direct contact or engagement will be treated first, followed by athletes requiring more than 7 minutes of direct contact or engagement. On occasion these athletes will be asked to wait until all other practicing players are treated.
  • In season athletes injured with restricted play
  • In season athletes out of play
  • Out of season athletes
  • Non athletes

Athletic Training Staff

head shot of Keri HeickertKeri Heickert is the Secondary Schools Athletic Trainer. She completed her undergraduate degree at Neumann University, then her Masters of Education at Alvernia University and her Doctorate of Education at Saint Joseph's University.
Keri has previously worked for Saint Joseph's University from 2009-2013, specializing in Women’s Basketball, Softball and Field Hockey. In addition, she worked at McShane Sports Medicine where she was an athletic trainer for Cabrini College in Radnor and Exeter High School in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Keri is also teaching at Neumann University and Thomas Jefferson University/Phila University, continuing her passion for education.
She resides in Montgomery County with her Husband and five year old twin girls.
