From the Coaches

It was a season of improvements for the volleyball team. Varsity quadrupled their number of wins from last season, going 8-10, while Junior Varsity picked up a 7-7 record.

One of the biggest improvements was seen on the service line. Varsity finished their season ranked #2 in total service aces in the state of PA during the week of October 26th with 294 total service aces. They also finished ranked #2 in the state in service aces per set, and #3 in the state in service ace percentage. Our very own Katie W. stayed in the top ten all season long, ending in the #6 spot during the week of October 26th with 76 total service aces.

This season we hosted our first ever "Dig for the Cure" match in support of breast cancer research. We tallied 65 digs as a team during the game, and raised $705.13 for the Susan G. Komen foundation.

We are sad to say goodbye to six seniors this season: Elizabeth J., Jamie R., Olivia B., Amissah S., Carina L., and Hannah D. They will be greatly missed on the court!

With a strong freshman class entering next year, as well as many talented returning underclassmen, we are looking forward to the future!
