JV Hun 12 vs ANC 4
The Hun JV team invaded ANC’s campus and provided a sound 12-4 taming of the ANC JV Lions.

JV ANC 12 vs FCS 5
The spirited contest betwixt FCS JV and ANC JV ended in a 12-5 victory for the visiting Phoenix.

4/14/12 V MFS 3 vs ANC 4
ANC got a strong pitching performance from Geoff Brisco Saturday and he was supported with very good defense as the Academy of the New Church defeated Moorestown Friends School in league play. The Lions opened the scoring in the first inning where with one out Alex Langlotz walked, Dustin Smith followed with a double. Dustin’s brother Kenan grounded out to score the first run and a miss cue on a ground ball by Kirk Synnestvedt led to the second run. Moorestown answered with two in the top of the second when Quarenta was hit by a pitch and Dwyer followed with a walk. After a sacrifice to move the runners to 2nd and 3rd Bader singled to plate one run and Dwyer scored on a strike out pass ball. ANC rebounded in the second with a run when Shane McCurdy led off with a single to left. Shane stole second and with two outs Geoff Brisco doubled him home. ANC tallied again in the third. With one out, Kenan Smith singled to right. Kirk Synnestvedt followed with a double to left center. Kenan tried to score from first but was out at the plate for the second out. Scott Weiss followed with a single to center which scored Synnestvedt.

The Lions host Abington Friends on Tuesday.

4/10/12 ANC JV: 0 vs Shipley JV: 10
The little red machine that is ANC JV baseball never got any of its parts moving yesterday as it managed only one hit in a 4.5 inning slaughtering at Shipley.

3/27/12 JV ANC 7 vs. Calvary Christian 18
In its first game (3/23 ANC vs. Perkiomen), the ANC JV baseball team established itself as an offensive juggernaut, plating 15 runs. In its second game, Tuesday’s matchup against Calvary Christian, the offensive machine broke down, managing only 7 runs in a six inning slaughtering.

3/23/12 JV ANC 15 vs. Perkiomen 17
Perkiomen defeated ANC 17-15 in a seven inning marathon.
