Goodbye to FIDDLER ON THE ROOF!
Fiddler on the Roof closed on Saturday to a standing ovation from a sold-out audience. Over our five performances Fiddler sold more than 1600 tickets! Audiences raved about the moving music, outstanding acting and energetic dancing. Highlights of the show included the famous bottle dance by Kenan S, Dustin S, Colton D and Landon E, Connor D’s amazing interpretation of Tevye and the classic song “Matchmaker” by Leanna Z, Grace C and Emily G. Fiddler Blake J impressed the cast and audiences alike by actually playing while on stage (and even on the roof!). Other impressive performances included Marybeth B’s Golde, Luke S’s Lazar Wolfe, Jared S’s Fyedka and Luke D’s Perchik.
As with all ANC shows, the majority of the show was created and run by students. The set was designed and built by the Stage Craft class and many costumes were designed, built and coordinated by the costuming class. The show was expertly run by Stage Manager Ben A with assistance from ASM Alexandra B and Fly Loft Manager Erik C. The make up crew was capably headed by India E and the Box Office was flawlessly run by students Haley B and Gage B.
With Fiddler’s closing, we say goodbye to many members of the class of 2012, both as performers and those behind-the-scenes. Their contributions to the performing arts at ANC have been invaluable over the last four years. They have generously shared their gifts and talents with the school and the community and for that we are grateful.
Congratulations on another outstanding year of performing arts at ANC and look for an upcoming announcement about our offerings for 2012-2013!
