Music | Choral Ensemble

In Choral Ensemble, students study a broad variety of vocal music—from the baroque through 20th Century Broadway. Students of all levels, from experienced singers to beginning vocalists, are invited to enroll in sixth period choral music. The structured course gives attention to vocal production, part singing, and general music  understanding through listening, participation, and concert performance.

Choral Ensemble performs at three Arts Nights during the course of the academic year, as well as a special Christmas Concert in December. Choral students are given opportunities to shine vocally in many venues throughout the year, including an annual invitation to perform at Glencairn Museum's prestigious Christmas Sing.

In addition to Choral Ensemble, there are many other ways to express vocal talents at ANC—from participation in the Spring Musical to perfomance with club Telegrams to participation in Performing Arts Portfolio. And, our personal environment also makes it easy for individual students to shine; students with vocal talents are often selected to sing the National Anthem for home football games, or asked to help provide special music for a worship service.
