Tuition and Financial Aid | Special Grants

For current and prospective ANC students there are several non-need based grants available for students in special categories:

• The New Church Grant is a tuition discount for students who are baptized into or who have a parent who is a member of one of the three recognized New Church organizations. The discount is $5,000 per year for a full-time student. To apply, sign and submit a New Church Grant Request Form to the Financial Aid Office at Box 462, Bryn Athyn, PA, 19009, in order to receive the discount. | New Church Grant Request Form [pdf]
• The Doering Fund Grant is offered to Canadian students applying to the Boys School who meet certain eligibility requirements. To apply, contact Rev. James Cooper for additional information: pastor@olivetnewchurch.org.
• The Southeast District Grant is offered to students whose permanent residence is in one of the states included in the United States Southeast District as defined by the General Church of the New Jerusalem, and who meet certain eligibility requirements. To apply, write to the Southeast District Fund Committee at 11914 Chantilly Lane, Mitchellville, MD, 20721 for additional information.
• The Pittsburgh Area Student Aid Fund is offered to incoming students from the greater Pittsburgh area or current students in good standing who are enrolled in the Academy of the New Church Secondary Schools but originating from the greater Pittsburgh area. The Pittsburgh area is defined as within 25 miles of either the Pittsburgh New Church congregation or the Sower’s Chapel congregation. Students must first apply for standard financial aid through the Schools financial aid application process. Support from the Fund will be applied after other institutional grants and financial aid are awarded to the individual students. Support from the Fund will not impact application of other forms of aid. Students must request consideration for the Fund by contacting the appropriate Principal.
• Private Grants are offered by some New Church societies to students who are members of their congregation. To apply, contact your society treasurer to see if such a scholarship fund exists in your society, and if so, how to apply.
