The Uncommon Entrepreneur: the Keys to Successful Business Management

Description: Do what you love, for a living. Using the Cairnwood Mansion operations as a model, this course uses hands-on exercises to develop healthy habits in planning, marketing, and employee, vendor and customer relations. With instruction by Cairnwood Director Evelyn Stephens, special guests and staff, graduates of this course will be ready to approach business planning realistically and with new eyes.

Who is it for:  Open to all ages teen and up, whether you are considering or involved in a business major, have dreams of building a business, or whether you are already engaged in a business but know you can refine your operations further. The Uncommon Entrepreneur is designed with a special emphasis on the motivation of the entrepreneur, exploring the intersection of a for-profit operation and its relation to society as a whole.
