“I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit”
(John 15:16)
The Peer Helpers program consists of students that are trained by the school counselor. These Helpers have been trained in communication skills and have learned how to apply them in helping another person with a personal problem. The responsibilities of the Peer Helpers include:
being available to the person needing help, whenever possible
to listen
to keep confidentiality
to help the person solve their own problems
to refer the person to a professional when needed
Peer Helpers are available to students when they would like the help of a peer rather than a faculty member. Currently this school year, we have 13 Peer Helpers and their names and phone numbers can be found on the official Girls School and Boys School bulletin boards.
