ANC SUMMER CAMP

The ANC Summer Camp takes place on the ANC Campus in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, July 6-12

Summer Camp is open to students who have completed grades 8 or 9, and is designed to familiarize them with the Academy. It also provides a time when New Church young people can socialize in a friendly, informal, but chaperoned atmosphere.

ANC SUMMER INSTITUTES

The ANC Summer Institutes are intensive two week, for-credit courses offered by the Academy of the New Church and co-sponsored by a variety of organizations and companies.

With 60 hours of instruction over two weeks, each institute earns .5 Carnegie units of credit.







BASKETBALL CAMP

Boys and Girls All-day Basketball Camp, July 21-25


Basketball Camp is led by Kevin Givens, coach of the ANC boys team, which is ranked by USA Today and Sports Illustrated as one of the top 25 teams in the nation.

TOOLS FOR LIFE

Tools 4 Life is a Career and Life Skills Camp designed to help teenagers with the tools and confidence needed to take the next step after high school. The camp offers a packed week of activities and workshops in a rich environment of mentoring, personal growth and networking for life.

ANC SPORTS CAMPS       [Fall Camps run the week before school opening]

The fall coaches extend a personal invitation to all Academy students join one of our fall sports teams: Field Hockey, Soccer or Tennis for girls, Football and Soccer for boys. We focus on teamwork, skill building, conditioning and sportsmanship and have a no "cut" policy - every team member gets to play.

Girls: We offer an overnight pre-season camp for the three fall sports: Field Hockey, Soccer or Tennis, open to all girls grades 9-12. Girls going into 7th and 8th grades are invited to join the camp as day campers, participating in practices but not spending the night. We will be using our facilities on campus including the Bryn Athyn Swim Club, Asplundh Field House and the girls dormitory, Glenn Hall. During this camp you will practice with your team, hear guest speakers, learn new stretching techniques and more. The cost of camp is $130.00 which includes room, board, T-shirt, and an outstanding opportunity to get a jump-start on your season! The cost for day campers is $40.00 which includes all practices, scrimmages (if applicable) and a camp T-shirt. Contact Athletic Director Mara White.

Boys: The purposes of Football Camp are to introduce players to each other and to the fundamentals of football, develop team concepts, help the players get into condition for the season and have fun. We have a very experienced staff prepared to teach boys how to play the game safely but aggressively. We welcome both beginners and experienced players. Generally we practice four times during the day, but there is ample time to rest, relax, socialize with the girl campers and take a dip in the Bryn Athyn Swim Club pool.
