Glencairn

The Academy campus, looking west. Students visit the Glencairn Museum, left, for Art, History and Religion classes, and Cairnwood Mansion, right, for History. Both facilities are used for formal social events.

Although conveniently located near Philadelphia, the Academy campus is nestled in the borough of Bryn Athyn, with its quiet neighborhoods, woodlands and fields.

Glencairn Museum: Teaching the history of religion through art

Originally built as the home of Raymond and Mildred Pitcairn, Glencairn is now a part of the Academy of the New Church. The students of the Girls School and Boys School have access to its remarkable collections as an extension of classroom work, as well as admission to its many and varied cultural events.
