"Love consists in desiring to give what is one's own to another. To feel the joy of another as joy in oneself -- that is loving."

The Academy campus, looking west. Students visit the Glencairn Museum, left, for Art, History and Religion classes, and Cairnwood Mansion, right, for History. Both facilities are used for formal social events.
Although conveniently located near Philadelphia, the Academy campus is nestled in the borough of Bryn Athyn, with its quiet neighborhoods, woodlands and fields.
As the central place of worship for the Bryn Athyn Church, the Bryn Athyn Cathedral (www.brynathyncathedral.org) is a gathering place for members of the New church throughout the world. Academy students worship here each September at the traditional opening worship service, and may continue to attend services at the cathedral throughout the school year on Sundays and religious holidays. The cathedral also offers opportunity for volunteer work and community service for ANC students.
