"Love consists in desiring to give what is one's own to another. To feel the joy of another as joy in oneself -- that is loving."

The Academy campus, looking west. Students visit the Glencairn Museum, left, for Art, History and Religion classes, and Cairnwood Mansion, right, for History. Both facilities are used for formal social events.
Although conveniently located near Philadelphia, the Academy campus is nestled in the borough of Bryn Athyn, with its quiet neighborhoods, woodlands and fields.
Orginally built in the late 19th century by John Pitcairn as his home, today Cairnwood (www.cairnwood.org) mansion is owned by the Academy of the New Church and is used for special events as well as being rented for private or corporate functions.
