9/23/08 - ANC 7 (3-0, 1-1) at Friends Select 0
The girls were able to get back to their winning ways and get their first league on the road at Friends Select. They were ready to take out their last tough loss on whoever their opponent was and it happened to be Friends Select on this day. Highlights of the game included Kelsey Kiel with 2 goals and Madeline Fazio with 2 assists and 1 goal. ANC has a difficult league game on Friday against George School.
9/19/08 - Friends Central 3 at ANC 2 (2-1, 0-1)
It was ANC's first league game of the year and was at ANC. There was a big crowd and those that came were treated to a great game. Friends Central had the lead at half 1-0. ANC tied and overcame that in the second half with a 2-1 lead with less than 5 minutes remaining. ANC played relentless defense throughout the second half as Friends Central kept attacking. It wasn't until late in the second half when Friends Central tied the game sending it into overtime. Friends Central scored a few minutes into overtime giving ANC their first loss of the season.
9/17/08 - Agnes Irwin 1 at ANC 2 (2-0)
ANC hosted a strong Agnes Irwin team at home. Agnes Irwin got out to an early lead in the game 1-0. The outstanding defense of ANC led by Kiah Baker, Kaitlyn Brock, Ali Leonard, and Hayley Schmucker decided that was going to be all for the visting team. But don't forget about Cree Gurney who had 11 saves in goal. ANC did tie it up before half with an unassisted goal by Kaitlyn Brock. In the second half Madeline Fazio scored the final goal of the game keeping ANC undefeated with a 2-0 record. Opening league game for ANC on Friday. Come support your Lady Lions.
9/5/08 - ANC 3 (1-0) at Philmont Christian 0
Varsity girls soccer won its first game of the year 3-0 against Philmont Christian. Kelsey Kiel had 2 goals on the day, one which was assisted by Kaitlyn Brock. Kaitlyn wasn't done there she also had a goal of her own that was assisted by Madeline Fazio. Hayley helped lead the defense by allowing only 3 shots on goal throughout the entire game.
