Two Schools in One: The Best of Both Worlds
Providing for the special needs of maturing girls and boys in a unique way, the Girls School and Boys School share facilities and faculty. The mission of the Academy Girls School is to study and teach the truths of the natural and spiritual worlds in the light of the Old Testament, the New Testament and the Heavenly Doctrines in a way distinctly related to young women so that they may follow lives of use to the Lord and the neighbor, leading to eternal uses in Heaven. Therefore, our goals are spiritual as well as academic and include the athletic and social aspects of student life.
Our objectives are to teach a knowledge of the Word, to help in the Lord's work of forming a conscience in the understanding, to teach a respect for law and order, to encourage moral integrity, to develop a sense of social responsibility, to help students develop a Love of Use, and to maintain a standard of excellence commensurate with their ability.
The goal of the Academy Boys School is to provide excellent spiritual and secular education. It is our responsibility to teach and study the truths of the natural and spiritual worlds in light of the Word as understood in the General Church so that we can assist our students in the development of their civil, moral, and spiritual lives. We hope to prepare these boys for good and useful lives by laying the foundations for moral and rational wisdom.
